Research track

Extraction methods,
hypothetical specs.

Two work-in-progress threads. First: real engineering on ultrasonic-assisted extraction of mushroom compounds — vendor pricing, bench-scale protocols, what works and what's pseudoscience. Second: hypothetical-product specifications that demonstrate readiness for if/when the regulatory pathway opens. Not commerce. Documentation.

Ultrasonic extraction — bench-scale SOP

Full engineering writeup on ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) of mushroom compounds. 28 kHz / 350W / 30-min cycles, jacketed cooling, 30% ethanol carrier. Vendor specs + price ranges. Distinguishes real engineering from 'vibrational essence' pseudoscience. Includes a $2,500 bench-trial protocol Joe can run before committing capital.

Hypothetical product specifications

Three research-stage product specs: 2 mg standardized microdose capsule (psilocybin), 25 mg therapeutic-dose lozenge (psilocybin), ultrasonic-extracted lion's mane + reishi tincture (legal-today). Each has full manufacturing notes, QA protocol, regulatory pathway analysis, peer-reviewed citations. Email-only waitlist. NOT for sale.

Hypothetical product index

Three research-stage product specs. Click through to read the full spec — every claim, every spec, every peer-reviewed reference. Two are psilocybin (research-stage / not commerce); one is a functional-mushroom tincture that flips to commerce when the extraction protocol validates.

Important framing

What "research-stage" means here

The pages under /mushrooms/research/ describe extraction methods and product specifications that are not consumer products. They exist to document the science and engineering we'd use if and when a particular product becomes legal-today commerce. Anything sold on this site is sold from the shop page only. The hypothetical products with email waitlists let you opt in to be notified if a product moves from research to commerce — they are not pre-orders, and we will never charge anything until a real product ships.
