This privacy policy describes how Verdone Wellness Inc. ("Botanical Waters", "we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the platform at savedrecipe.com/mushrooms and the planned successor domain botanicalwaters.com.

1. Information we collect

From your browser: a long-lived anonymous session identifier is set as a first-party cookie (savedrecipe_anon_session) so that we can correlate actions you take across the site (such as adding items to a cart, joining a waitlist, completing a purchase). This cookie is not shared with third parties.

From forms you submit: when you sign up for a waitlist or complete a checkout, we collect the information you provide — typically email address, optional name, and (at checkout) shipping address. Stripe handles credit-card information directly; we never see or store full card numbers.

Analytics: we use Vercel Analytics + Vercel Speed Insights to measure traffic and performance. These tools log IP addresses (truncated for privacy) and user-agent strings; they do not set persistent cross-site cookies.

2. How we use information

To process your orders and fulfill purchases
To send waitlist confirmations and (optional, low-frequency) newsletters
To diagnose problems with the site and improve its functionality
To comply with legal obligations (tax, fraud detection)

3. What we do not do

We do not sell your email or any personal information
We do not share your data with advertising networks for behavioral targeting
We do not track you across other websites

4. Third parties

We rely on a small number of third-party services to operate the platform:

Vercel — hosting + analytics. Subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
Stripe — payment processing for direct purchases. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
Postgres database (managed) — stores waitlist signups, orders, and other relational data. Not shared with any third party.
Affiliate retailers (Amazon, North Spore, etc.) — we link out to them; their privacy policies apply once you click through.

5. Cookies

The platform uses the following cookies:

savedrecipe_anon_session — first-party anonymous session ID (1-year persistence)
savedrecipe_admin — first-party admin authentication (admin users only)
Vercel Analytics — short-lived, IP-truncated traffic measurement

6. Your rights

You may request:

A copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction of inaccurate data
Deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements for orders)
Unsubscription from marketing emails (one-click in any email)

7. Data retention

Order records are retained for 7 years for tax + audit purposes. Waitlist signups are retained until you unsubscribe. Anonymous session data is purged after 1 year of inactivity.

8. International users

The platform is operated from the United States. By using the site you consent to your information being processed in the United States, which may have different privacy protections than your country of residence. If you are subject to GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy regulation, contact us via the email above to exercise the rights granted by your jurisdiction.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform's newsletter and reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
